On Tuesday, Trump met with his national security team to review possible next steps after calling the killings in Iran “significant”, as reported by the Associated Press. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and senior officials from the White House National Security Council began meeting last Friday to develop options for Trump, ranging from diplomatic responses to military action. According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, at least 2,586 people have been killed by Iranian security forces during the protests.
