In a major update in the ongoing legal fight over Sunjay Kapoor’s inheritance, Karisma Kapoor’s children Samaira and Kiaan have filed a new petition against Priya Sachdev. They want the court to stop Priya from changing or moving any of Sunjay’s assets until the case is settled. The court will hear this request on November 20, and more details are expected then.Right now, the Will and the application for a forensic check are with Gagandeep Jindal, the Joint Registrar of the Delhi High Court.
On November 11, Samaira and Kiaan asked for permission to examine the original Will that Priya submitted in October, saying it has several irregularities. Priya, however, disagreed with their request.Their plea was taken up again on November 17. After the hearing, the Joint Registrar ordered Priya Sachdev and Shraddha Suri Marwah to submit a written response explaining their objections within three weeks. Samaira and Kiaan’s lawyers can also file additional documents during this time. The next hearing is now scheduled for December 16.For context, Karisma Kapoor married Sunjay Kapur in 2003. They welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2005 and their son Kiaan in 2011, before divorcing in 2016. Sunjay Kapur passed away in June 2025.
