Despite frequently attending lavish celebrity weddings, Johar revealed that he has never actually eaten at one, admitting that the experience makes him uncomfortable.The filmmaker, who is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming production Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, shared this quirky detail during a candid conversation on A Shaadi Show by a wedding wear brand.While chatting with newlyweds Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samratthe topic of wedding food came up, prompting Johar to make the unusual admission. “I have never eaten at a wedding,” he said, leaving Kriti visibly surprised. He explained, “These long queues and standing in line for food… I also feel very awkward standing with a plate and eating. I never eat at weddings.”His confession came shortly after he asked the couple about their wedding non-negotiables, to which both instantly replied, “Good food,” adding a touch of irony to the moment.During the conversation, Kriti also shared a sweet personal detail about Pulkit, revealing that he is fondly called ‘Annapurna’ at home—a Sanskrit word that means the giver of food. She added that his love for feeding people was one of the things that drew her to him.Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat got married on March 15, 2024, in an intimate ceremony held at ITC Grand Bharat in Manesar, Haryana, attended by close friends and family.The two first met while working on the 2018 film Veerey Ki Wedding and began dating a year later.
