    James Cameron's 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' emerges as the 11th biggest Hollywood hit in India
    The cinematic phenomenon ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ directed by James Cameron, has taken India by storm, amassing a staggering Rs 117.05 crore within just eight days! This achievement places it as the 11th highest-grossing Hollywood movie in the country, ahead of ‘Godzilla x Kong’ and making it the most successful Hollywood release of the year, outshining even Brad Pitt’s F1.

    James Cameron, the man behind Titanic and the Avatar series has delivered a powerful box office performance at the Indian box office with Avatar: Fire and Ash. The film has become the 11th biggest Hollywood film of all time in the country, with a total of Rs 117.05 crore in just eight days. And with that the film has officially surpassed Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which had closed its India run at Rs 112.54 crore. Avatar: Ash and Fire has also become the biggest Hollywood hit of the year, comfortably beating Brad Pitt’s F1, which collected Rs 106.61 crore.The film opened on a solid note with Rs 19 crore on Day 1, driven largely by the English version (Rs 8.5 crore), while strong contributions also came from Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu markets. Positive word of mouth and the franchise’s massive fan following helped Avatar: Ash and Fire grow steadily over the opening weekend. Collections jumped to Rs 22.5 crore on Saturday and further climbed to Rs 25.75 crore on Sunday, giving the film a healthy and trend-driven first weekend.As expected, there was a sharp drop on Monday, with collections falling to Rs 9 crore, but the film showed remarkable stability through the weekdays. Tuesday Rs 9.25 crore and Wednesday Rs 10.65 crore held steady, while Thursday, which was Christmas, the film saw a solid jump to collect Rs 13.35 crore, The film closed Week 1 at Rs 109.5 crore, already positioning itself among the biggest Hollywood earners in the country. On 2nd Friday the film collected Rs 7.55 crore which took the total collection of the film to Rs 117.05 crore. The film’s performance over the globe has also stunned the industry analysts, the film crossed USD 500 million in the first week. The film had collected USD 350 million in the first week but it was the weekday collection that has surprised everyone. With the New Year holidays kicking in across the globe- analysts feel that Avatar: Fire and Ash is on its way to cross the USD 1 billion mark. The Avatar trilogy has already become the highest grossing trilogy in the history of cinema.
