    Agastya Nanda’s debut film, ‘Ikkis,’ has crossed Rs 27.55 crore at the box office. After a dip on Friday, weekend collections saw a boost, bringing the war drama closer to the Rs 30 crore mark. The film, set during the 1971 India-Pakistan war, features Nanda as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpa.

    ‘Ikkis’, marking the debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and the last screen presence of late actor Dharmendra, made it to the big screens on January 1, 2026. In its 10-day run, the movie saw both highs and lows, and it tried to maintain a steady pace at the box office. Though it entered its second week with a dip in numbers, Saturday saw some growth, while it faced tough competition from Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘The Raja Saab’ starring Prabhas.

    According to reports shared by Sacnilk, ‘Ikkis’ managed to earn Rs 1.20 crore on its second Saturday. This amount brings the overall total earnings to Rs 27.55 crore. On Friday, the film’s box office collections had dropped below Rs 1 crore, as ‘Ikkis’ had managed to collect only Rs 85 lakhs. These recent numbers have brought ‘Ikkis’ closer to the Rs 30 crore threshold.

    The film’s Hindi occupancy stood at 25.16% on Saturday, with evening and night shows having the highest percentage. Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore garnered the most audience on the basis of regions.

    The film is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan war in 1971, specifically about the Battle of Basantar. Nanda plays the role of the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpa, who was awarded the title posthumously.
