According to the reports, the Madras High Court reserved its verdict until January 9, which is also the release date of the film. The HC also ordered that the film should be reviewed by a new committee of the Central Board of Film Certification.
The makers appealed to the HC after CBFC failed to grant certification to the film even a month after submission. The Censor Board even suggested cuts and directed to mute a few lines on December 19, 2025.
Aftereffects
The screenings of the film on the release day have been canceled after the court order.The advance booking option has been removed from the ticket booking websites after the court order. However, fans and the audience had already booked tickets, due to which shows scheduled for 5am, 6am, 7am, and more were sold out in several cities of South India as well as in Mumbai.
