It is indeed the end of an era, as Bollywood’s legendary star, Dharmendra, has passed away at the age of 89 in Mumbai. Earlier this month, he was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital and was discharged as he was responding to the medicines and care. However, on November 24, an ambulance was seen leaving his house in the afternoon, and his family, along with several industry members, reached the Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu.The news of his demise sent shock waves. Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal, who shared the screen with Dharmendra in two films – ‘Double Di Trouble’ and ‘Second Hand Husband,’ took to his social media handle to pen a heart-warming tribute for the late star.

Gippy Grewal pays tribute to Dharmendra; says his kindness, wisdom, and warmth left a lasting impact
Sharing pictures from the movie sets, Gippy Grewal wrote, “Such heartbreaking news to hear. Dharam ji, you’ve always been one of the most genuine and knowledgeable souls I’ve had the privilege to know. Your kindness, wisdom, and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone around you.”“It’s truly difficult to accept this sudden demises like we’ve lost not just a great person, but a great, handsome actor and a guiding light. Karan Johar says it’s the end of an era
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who worked with Dharmendra on one of his recent films, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani,’ also wrote a moving tribute for the actor. In a long note he penned, “It is an end of an ERA…. a massive mega star… the embodiment of a HERO in mainstream cinema… incredibly handsome and the most enigmatic screen presence… he is and will always be a bonafide Legend of Indian Cinema… defining and richly present in the pages of cinema history… but mostly he was the best human being… he was so loved by everyone in our industry…. He only had immense love and positivity for everyone … his blessings, his hug and his incredible warmth will be missed more than words can describe …. Today there is a gaping hole in our industry… a space that can never be filled by anyone… there will always be the one and only DHARAMJI… we love you kind Sir…. We will miss you so much…. The late actor Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur and later to actress Hema Malini.
