NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, has been traded from Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the IPL 2026 retention deadline. The young all-rounder will move to LSG at his existing price of Rs 30 lakh. Arjun, who was picked by Mumbai in the 2021 auction, made his IPL debut for the franchise in 2023.“Thank you for the memories. It’s been an honor wearing the badge and being part of the team. Can’t wait to join @lucknowsupergiants, see you soon,” Arjun wrote on Instagram.His sister Sara Tendulkar responded to the post, saying: “Love uuuu”.Across his IPL stint so far, Arjun has played five matches, taking three wickets at an economy of 9.37.

In a separate trade, MI have brought back leg-spinner. Mayank Markande from Kolkata Knight Riders.“Leg-spinner Mayank Markande will return to his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians (MI), following a successful trade from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Acquired by KKR for a fee of INR 30 lakh, Markande will join MI at his existing fee. Markande began his IPL career with MI, representing the franchise in 2018, 2019 and 2022, before turning out for Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023 and 2024. He has featured in 37 IPL matches, taking 37 wickets,” the BCCI said in a statement.
