Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana, who is currently busy with her career in Punjabi cinema, filed a complaint with the Mohali police over an extortion threat. According to a PTI report, Himanshi received an extortion threat of Rs 10 crore from a foreign based gangster, officials informed.The Mohali police said it has lodged an FIR on the basis of the complaint received from the actress. Police said that the actress filed a complaint regarding the extortion email received on her email ID.Following the complaint, the police swiftly registered an FIR on Saturday at the Sohana police station under Sections 308(4) for extortion and 351(3) for criminal intimidation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), officials said.Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Saurav Jindal stated, “As per the complaint, the email contained a voice note allegedly sent by a foreign-based gangster demanding Ra 10 crore as extortion money.”Police have started investigating the case and are working to trace where the email and voice message were sent from.Officials added that further action will be taken as per the law.On the work front, Himanshi started her career as a model and was later seen in 2013 Punjabi movie ‘Sadda Haq’. She has also featured in several music videos and shot to popularity with the season 13 of controversial reality show “Bigg Boss”.Last month, Punjabi singer Dilnoor filed a complaint with the Mohali police, alleging that he received a call threatening popular singer B Praak and demanding Rs 10 crore in extortion.
