After the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, reports of Ranveer Singh exiting ‘Don 3’ due to creative differences surfaced online. Recently, it was reported that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house is seeking Rs 40 crore from the actor, as he left the project in between. However, as per the latest report, both parties sat down for a discussion that was mediated by the Producers Guild of India. And soon, the talks turned into heated arguments. Ranveer Singh slams Farhan Akhtar for not being serious about ‘Don 3’
According to the Bollywood Hungama report, the first discussion happened almost a week ago, where the issue was examined. However, in the second meeting, which took place last weekend, things didn’t go as planned. A source told the publication, “Ranveer blamed Excel Entertainment for unprofessionalism and not being serious about taking ‘Don 3’ on floors. He stated that Farhan Akhtar never had a bound script in place and that, as an actor, he prefers to work only with fully developed material.“The insider further told the website that the actor also stated that Farhan was never open to feedback on the script. Singh, as per the report, expressed that the filmmaker had issues incorporating certain subplots in the script. Not just that, the source told the portal, “He further alleged that Excel was exploring the possibility of getting Hrithik Roshan on board and only re-approached him after the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, to capitalize on his momentum.”For those who are unaware, Hrithik Roshan had made a special appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Don 2’ in 2011.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Farhan stated that the actor never “flagged” any script issues. The filmmaker added that Singh was, in fact, excited to play the role, which was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. As per the insider, “He (Farhan) claimed the script was shared at regular intervals and approved by Ranveer at every stage.”

According to the reports, Farhan and Ritesh’s production house demanded the amount, as they had spent it for the pre-production of the film. They also hope to receive the losses reimbursed. Apart from that, the producers have also asked for a solution to the unreasonable demands of actors. On the other hand, Singh has exited the project, as he was upset with the makers about how they were treating the potential hit movie. Reportedly, the filmmaker prioritized other projects and his acting stint over ‘Don 3’. Due to this, as per the report, left Ranveer Singh was left with three years of indecision.Soon, reports stated that the actor had received a threat on a WhatsApp voice note demanding Rs 10 crore. Reportedly, his security has been beefed up after the threat.
