A boat carrying French tourists capsized in waters near Muscat, Oman, today, resulting in three deaths and prompting rescue operations and an official investigation by Omani authorities.The incident took place in the Wilayat of Muttrah in the Muscat Governorate during a guided excursion. The vessel was carrying 25 French nationals along with a local tour guide and the boat’s captain when it overturned. Emergency teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority provided immediate medical assistance to survivors at the scene.Authorities confirmed that three tourists died in the incident. Two other tourists sustained minor injuries and were treated by ambulance crews on site before being cleared. The remaining passengers were brought to safety.The Royal Oman Police said in a post on Maritime authorities are also involved in the probe.Officials said efforts are underway to support the survivors and the families of those who died as investigations continue.
