Early box office reports indicate a phenomenal Monday collection that surpasses the Rs 50 crore mark and a good first week haul that is set to see it rank among the highest week 1 box office collections of all time.

As per early estimates on Sacnilk, the film that hit theaters in India on Friday not only managed to score a good debut weekend, but also recorded one of the highest Republic Day collections of all time. The film reportedly earned an estimated Rs 56 crore on its first Monday. With this, the film not only recorded its highest single-day collections thus far, but also scored one of the highest first Monday collections, and one of the highest Republic Day box office earnings of all time.

The film that hit theaters on Friday, January 23, began its box office run with an impressive Rs 30 crore net collection on Day 1. Over the weekend, the film saw impressive growth at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday and seeing a big boost on Sunday, with a total collection of Rs 54.5 crore. Monday saw the film extending its record to rake in an estimated Rs 56 crore, thus surpassing all expectations to score a win at the ticket windows.With a total net collection of Rs 177 crore, the film is now on its way to score a Rs 200 crore week 1 collection, joining the ranks of recent releases like ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Chhaava’.

‘Border 2’, directed by Anurag Singh, had an overall 64.27% Hindi occupancy, with its morning shows seeing a good 40.39% turnout and the film seeing its highest footfalls for evening shows, with a 79.90% footfall.

The film also shot past the Rs 200 crore mark, grossing a total collection of Rs 212.2 crore in just 4 days. An additional Rs 27 crore collection from international markets, thus pushed the film to an impressive worldwide haul of Rs 239.2 crore.
