The appearance marked their first public outing together since their father, veteran actor Dharmendra, passed away last year.

Later in the evening, Sunny made a surprise visit to Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy theatre, delighting fans who had gathered to watch Border 2. As he arrived in his car, fans rushed towards the entrance, chanting his name and cheering loudly.
Inside the theatre, Sunny was joined by Ahan Shettyson of Suniel Shetty. The two waved at the audience and thanked fans for the overwhelming love showered on the film, prompting loud applause and whistles from the crowd.
Dharmendra honored with Padma Vibhushan
Meanwhile, the Center on Sunday announced the Padma Awards 2026, naming Dharmendra as a Padma Vibhushan awardee posthumously. The legendary actor, who passed away on November 24, 2025, was conferred the country’s second-highest civilian honor in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.
Dharmendra remained active till the very end, earning praise for his performances in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023) and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. His final film, Ikkis, was released on January 1, 2026, days after his demise, marking a poignant farewell to one of Hindi cinema’s most enduring icons.
