    AR Rahman had earlier spoken openly about the tough financial phase he faced in his early life. Even though he is one of the richest and most respected music composers today, his journey was not easy. He shared that he went through serious money troubles along with his mother and sisters and those days left a deep mark on him.In an early interview with Hindu, he said, “One thing I was very clear about; whatever money I leave for anyone, it’ll disappear in a day if they are not smart enough and don’t understand the legacy.”

    Rahman explained that carrying financial burden at a young age made him strong saying, “I went through so much financial trouble along with my mom and sisters, but those lessons the burden that I shared with my mom made me who I am today. Even now, those experiences help me make grounded decisions.”why AR Rahman never hides bad news from his childrenRahman shared something very personal about how he raises his children. He said he never hides bad news from them. He feels children should know the truth of life.He said, “So I really want my children to be aware of everything going on; I don’t believe in hiding any bad news or problems from them.”Rahman even talks to them about loans and money responsibilities. “I even inform them if I get a loan for a building and the mortgage I’m paying.”The ‘Ramayana’ composer made it clear this is not to scare them. “This is not to torture them, but only to make them learn.”AR Rahman’s honest thoughts on nepotism and legacyRahman also spoke about nepotism in the music world. He said people use this word a lot now, but for him, it is about legacy and care.He said, “When it comes to them following me into music and charting their respective paths, well, people nowadays have learned this new term… nepotism.”The ‘Guru’ singer also spoke emotionally about his studio and life’s work. “I have built all this stuff, this entire world; if my kids aren’t into it, this entire place is going to become a godown!”“Every step, every inch of every wall, and every chair in my studio has been selected with so much passion and care, and I hope for them to take over from me in the future,” he added.‘Gandhi Talks’ releaseOn the work front, AR Rahman is composing music for ‘Gandhi Talks’, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, and Aditi Rao Hydari. The film is set to release on January 30.Sharing the update, Rahman wrote, “They loved in silence. They sinned in silence. They suffered in silence. This film speaks of that silence.”He added, “A silent promise. A loud arrival – the year’s most intriguing cinematic experience #GandhiTalks arrives 30th Jan, in cinemas only.”
