Mystery of Comet 3I/ATLAS
First spotted in July, Comet 3I/ATLAS is behaving unlike any object scientists have seen before. The speculation surrounding its nature intensified after Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb boldly claimed the interstellar visitor could be an “alien probe sent to do recon on Earth,” a quote Rogan brought up on the show. He stated that many comets and asteroids are “made primarily of nickel,” and that “the places where you mine nickel on Earth is actually where there was an asteroid or comet that hit earth—that was a nickel rich meteorite.,When pressed on the possibility of the object being an alien spacecraft, Musk acknowledged the implications of a nickel-heavy construction. “It would be a very sort of heavy spaceship if you make it all out of nickel,” he said, adding that such a vessel “would like obliterate a continent type of thing—maybe worse.”
